  1. The substance of this is good, but its expression leaves something to be desired. “They know the only way to mask the incompetence, to hide the ill intent, is to mask it.” is circular. Sentences need verbs.

    The Copperfield metaphor is good one. Spoiler alert! Copperfield convinced his audience he had moved the Statue of Liberty by hiding her from view, then smoothly and silently moving them, rotating the whole (purpose-built) auditorium until it pointed away from Liberty. She had not gone, but was not where they thought. Apply this to Tr*mp as you will.

  2. Well written, well thought out. Our country is in trouble when a third of us are living in a political delusion. It took years of manipulation and overt mesmerizing to garner their unwavering support. Support based on hatred for Obama and Clinton. Not love for Trump but love of their shared hatred for this black man and white woman. Baseless and shameful hatred.
